Danny Murphy said that one Manchester City player didn’t deserve to go to Euro 2024.

Many people around the world are excited about seeing some of the best players in the world at the event, so it’s a shame that a famous City player isn’t there.

But international football is often very rough.

Daniel Murphy says the Man City star didn’t deserve to be in Euro 2024.
For example, Thiago Alcantara, a defender for Liverpool, was not picked by Luis Enrique, who used to be Spain’s manager, for his team for Euro 2020.

The mechanic who used to play for Bayern Munich was one of the best midfielders in Europe at the time.

Over a year before Euro 2024, Jack Grealish was left off of the final England team.

The man who makes £300,000 a week is a huge name, so leaving him out has caused some people to disagree.

Danny Murphy, on the other hand, thinks that England manager Gareth Southgate made the right choice when he didn’t pick Jack Grealish for Euro 2024.

Murphy told the Daily Mail (page 103, September 6, 2024): “When it matters most and England needs a goal at the Euros with 20 minutes to go, I’d rather see [Eberechi] Eze or [Ivan] Toney come on than [Jack] Grealish.”

“I really like Jack, but you couldn’t choose him right now.” In 2024, he hasn’t scored a goal, but Eze has eight. The Crystal Palace player is faster and more sure of himself, so he can slide past players like Grealish. Toney is great at penalties and can sneak in a goal.

Jack Grealish should have known he wasn’t going to be picked.

No matter how you feel about Danny Murphy, we think Jack Grealish should have known he wouldn’t be going to Euro 2024.

The 28-year-old only played 10 Premier League games for Manchester City last year, which could mean that Gareth Southgate didn’t think he was good enough to be in his team.

Besides that, it was said in May that Grealish wasn’t taking the best care of himself away from the field.

This season, players like Anthony Gordon and Eberechi Eze have had great years, making him look like they are no longer important.

Euro 2024 could be Gareth Southgate’s last event as England manager, so he must really want to lead his team to victory.

Prior to the 2026 World Cup, Jack Grealish should let his foot do the talking until it is clear that he should be on England’s team.
