English sport journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms 30-year-old defender will be leaving Arsenal this summer transfer window

Based on what Fabrizio Romano said, an important first-team player for Arsenal will leave the North London club during the summer transfer window.

Well-known football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed today that an important player on Arsenal’s first team will leave the club during the summer transfer window.

The Ghanaian player has had a tough season with injuries. He has missed 143 days of play for Arsenal because of problems with his groin and hamstring.

Romeo said on the YouTube show JD Football Show, “There is a good chance they will bring in a new midfielder, Thomas will leave.”

The 30-year-old midfielder was first signed by the Gunners from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2020, after paying his £45m (€52.8m) release clause. Arsenal fans were thrilled at the time.

At first, he was a big surprise for Mikel Arteta’s team and a much-needed addition after finishing eighth in the Premier League. But things seem to have changed, and many fans now want to see him leave.

One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter) after the news came out, “Good move.” There will be room for pay, and we will definitely get a player who is always available.

Partey has said before that he is still committed to Arsenal: “My head is always here.” I choose to play here, and I’m always happy when I’m on the field.

“I know there has been a lot of talk about me leaving, but I’m really happy to be here and play for this club again.”

Romano’s most recent news, on the other hand, makes it sound like he is leaving and won’t be able to decide what will happen with Arsenal.

Romano also said that the club wants to get a new midfielder. To replace Partey, Edu Gaspar and his team are said to be interested in Bruno Guimarães of Newcastle, Martín Zubimendi of Real Sociedad, Frankie De Jong of Barcelona, Amadou Onana of Everton, and João Neves, a young star from Benfica.
