Manchester United didn’t bring Jadon Sancho to the south coast with the team, but he is not in their matchday group.

As he talked about why he didn’t play Jadon Sancho in Manchester United’s Premier League game against Brighton, Erik ten Hag said the player needs to fight for his spot.

Sancho has been left out of Ten Hag’s team twice now. He missed their first game of the season, a 1-0 win over Fulham, because he had an ear infection. He went to the south coast this time, but he wasn’t chosen to take part.

His long-term future, on the other hand, still seems uncertain, and there has been a lot of talk about him over the last year. Juventus is interested in the 24-year-old player, and United is in talks with the Serie A giants about a sale.

There is still a chance that he will leave Old Trafford before the end of the summer transfer window but. Ten Hag told TNT Sports about his choice and if it seemed likely that Sancho would leave the club before the window closed: “He’s here.” I had to decide what to do, and we were having trouble.

“We need the whole team, and he’s one of them.” He has to work hard to keep his job, and we will take a look at him from game to game. We need two people in every role on the team because the season is going to be long.

A new report from the Athletic says that Ten Hag’s decision to leave him out of the team to play Fulham made Sancho want to leave even more. United would be willing to let Sancho leave the club, either on loan or for good, if a deal can be made.
