Erik Ten Hag make an outburst message concerning 25-year-old Manchester United Midfielder Mason Mount future at Old Trafford
Mount, who is 25, was in the last year of his contract and chose to leave the club he joined when he was 12 years old. Last year, it was said that Chelsea didn’t make Mount an official offer beyond a one-year extension with a pay raise, but Ten Hag said that they did make more than one offer.
That they didn’t want to sell him was what Ten Hag said. “They tried many times to keep him by offering him a new deal.” He did want to take this step, though.
“We are very pleased he is a Manchester United player because he has great abilities and will contribute and become a big player for Manchester United.”
Since the start of the season, United has only won 15 of their 29 Premier League games, losing the other 16. Ten Hag has complained a lot about United’s fitness problems, even though other teams have had similar problems and are having better seasons.
Ten Hag decided to play an unchanged team against Brentford, who dominated the game and had 31 shots on goal. The United boss agreed that the team had too many false starts this season.
Mount will come back to Chelsea after moving for Manchester United nine months ago in a £60 million deal.
Mason Mount turned down several job offers from Chelsea, according to Erik ten Hag. He wanted to “make the step” to Manchester United.
On Saturday, Mount scored his first goal for United in a tie with Brentford. The England player is now trying to make his first Premier League start in five months at Stamford Bridge. Ten Hag gave Mount a hint that he might stay on the bench at his old team on Thursday night.
Mount turned down an offer to extend his contract at Chelsea, so United paid £55 million for him. That price went up to £60 million in July, when Arsenal and Liverpool also made offers.
“I have explained several times,” Ten Hag said with a sigh. “This is mostly because we don’t have a consistent team.” We have to change our routines all the time because you have to change your team. Now we need to make changes to our team again.
The team that played against Brentford was the same as the one that played against Liverpool. However, as you can see, after the international break, the flow has gone away for many teams. Their two games were against different teams, and their strategies and ways of playing were different.
United is still sixth in the Premier League, but Ten Hag said again that they are “going in the right direction.” I believe you should follow the steps. We are in a good frontline, as I said. We’re getting some good young guys. In their growth, they are making great strides. We’re going in the right direction, but we need to take the next steps. Do not stop this process.
“I have high standards, and I’d be upset if we didn’t make it to the Champions League.” I know it will be hard because things are not going well for us.
“But we expect each other to win every game. That’s how we fight here.” We’re going to keep going and believe in those ideals. That’s how they’ll play every game. We’re going to fight until the very end.
“I know things aren’t going well for us. We need to get caught up. I’m also a sensible man because I know we’ve had a lot of pain. Teams in a very competitive league are very close in terms of skill level. This means that you need players to be ready to make a consistent team that can follow your routines. This depends on the results, that is a fact.
“If you have to give in on something, your levels and points will always go down.” Your levels will go up if you play with the same team every time. It is a fact that you will get more points when you have the best players on your team, so I will be honest.
“But nevertheless, I will keep fighting in every game and I will demand every game a win because we are Man United and we have to win every game.”
