That Ten Hag had said United couldn’t fight for the top prizes was something Ronaldo said. The manager at Old Trafford replied, “No, he said this, if you read the article very well.”

“He is in Saudi Arabia, which is a long way from Manchester. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, so it’s fine.”

“In May of next year, we’ll see where we stand.” It’s still early in the season, so our goal is to win titles, get as high as possible in the league, and win every game. In May, we’ll find out where we stand in the league.

United lost two games in a row, dropping them to 14th place in the Premier League. This has put more heat on Ten Hag. United plays at Southampton on Saturday, and Ten Hag says the team needs to start winning again to stop their early-season slide.

Ten Hag said, “It doesn’t affect me; I know where we are in the process.” “I also know what we need to do and where we need to go.”

“As I’ve already said, we’re still in a transitional phase and need to get a lot of new players used to the team.” We still have to deal with hurt guys and get them back on the team.

“No, we have to win every game before anyone thinks of an excuse.” That’s true. It doesn’t matter who is available; the team knows that. We’ll pay attention to every game and go into it thinking we have to win.

“No one is happy when they see the scores, and the players have a great sense of how the process is going and how good it is.”

“Looking back at all of our games so far, we’re going in the right direction. But it’s normal to need to improve and step up when building a team during this time of change.”

“We have good personalities and a strong sense of teamwork. Now we need to set up some habits and patterns so that everyone can see our strengths.”

Ten Hag said this about the players who could be picked this weekend: “Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw are making great progress, but they are not ready for this game.”

“Manuel Ugarte came back this afternoon. We all saw him play for Uruguay.” He was the only player to come back today; the others came back yesterday, so he can play in this game.
