Erling Haaland sent a brutal message after he threw the ball at Arsenal’s 26-year-old defender Gabriel Magalhaes angrily at their draw match on Sunday.
After Manchester City’s exciting 2-2 draw with title rivals Arsenal on Sunday, Erling Haaland sent Mikel Arteta a two-word message that made fun of him and then went on a swearing rant against Gabriel Jesus.
At the Etihad, the City striker was very angry. He threw the ball at Gabriel’s head after John Stones scored the last-gasp equalizer and seemed to yell “who the f*** are you?” at Arsenal’s 17-year-old replacement Myles Lewis-Skelly.
David Raya got the ball from a corner and threw it far for Kai Havertz to chase deep into extra time. City was already down and out.
In the 89th minute, however, John Stones scored from a bounce, sending the home fans into a frenzy. City stayed on top of the Premier League table.
After the game, Haaland went up to Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, and slapped him on the shoulder while telling him to “stay humble.”
Then Jesus talked to Haaland about what he said. He asked, “Come on, why are you talking and saying this?”
“What are we talking about? Haaland replied, “I wasn’t talking s***, clown,” as he stepped on his opponent and pushed him.
He told them, “Don’t touch me.”
How could you say that? Haaland’s last words were, “Get the f*** away from me you f***ing clown.” But Jack Grealish stepped in between them.
City and Arsenal have become more rivals over the last two seasons as they have fought hard for the Premier League title.
Haaland clearly thinks that City, who have won four titles in a row, are still the best team, even though Arsenal came very close to beating them away from home.
Arsenal, on the other hand, didn’t just sit there and cry.
The scores were tied when Riccardo Calafiori scored a beautiful curling goal. The Gunners took the lead when Gabriel scored in extra time of the first half, even though Leandro Trossard was sent off right before halftime.
After the break, they were stuck against a wall, and they held on resolutely against a City team that was getting more and more angry. City made 33 shots.
They thought they had won a big game that could have made or broken their season until City worked the ball into the box again from a short corner and Stones scored to tie the game.
That was the most recent goal City had scored in a Premier League game.
Haaland sparked Gabriel’s anger by throwing the ball at the back of his head while the Gunners defender cried out in pain and wrapped his shirt over his face.
When the stirker did his or her thing, players from both teams got into a heated argument.
When asked about Haaland’s behavior after the game, Pep Guardiola said, “I think it was emotions and that’s it.”
Arteta looked at the good things. “The team is great!” “The game was tough because it was against the best team in the world,” he said.
“It’s already a miracle that we played for 56 minutes with only 10 men at Abu Dhabi.” What we’ve done is amazing.
That didn’t stop him from letting off steam about Trossard’s firing: “That clear, it’s not necessary for me to say anything,” He said Arteta. “This is the second time.” That’s how I think 100 Premier League games will be played: 10 against 11, or 10 against 9. Let’s check it out.
“I believe it’s clear what people feel about the red card.” It’s not my job to decide what happened here. The 55-minute job I have is to stay alive in one of the toughest football situations and do what I need to do to stay alive.
“It’s happened twice in five games already, which is very scary in the best league.”
