Fabian Schar, Burn to start: Newcastle United predicted lineup vs. Wolves on Sunday

This weekend, Newcastle United is back in the Premier League, and they have a tough schedule ahead of them. This will test their efforts to improve their away form.

Before the October international break, four of Newcastle’s next five games are away from St. James’ Park. This means that Eddie Howe’s team needs to win away from home if they want to keep up their good start to the season.

United won’t have Sven Botman, Callum Wilson, Joe Willock, Lewis Miley, or Jamaal Lascelles with them at Molineux because they are suspended for three games. However, Howe will be glad to see Fabian Schar back on the team after his ban. After a terrible injury season last year, the Newcastle manager has a strong team to choose from this weekend and some choices to make.

Sandro Tonali made two starts for Italy during the international break, which shows that he is now ready to be in the starting lineup all the time. The 10-month ban has made the midfielder very missed, but he showed against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham that he can make a big difference for United.

The question is who will take his place. Sean Longstaff seems like the most likely candidate. The Geordie player has been very important to Howe, especially during last season’s injury crisis, so it won’t be easy to leave him out. But since they don’t have a game this week, Tonali is ready to start at Molineux.

Emil Krafth, who has done a great job as a makeshift center back with Dan Burn, is expected to lose his job when Schar comes back, but Howe has more problems to solve at full back. He is expected to start again on Sunday instead of Kieran Trippier at right back. His name is Tino Livramento.

Lewis Hall played well on the other side of the field for England Under-21s and has already started two games this season for United. On the other hand, Lloyd Kelly started at left back against Bournemouth and Tottenham, setting up Harvey Barnes’ goal against Tottenham. He will likely keep the starting spot at Molineux.

Howe put together an attacking front three to play Spurs. Barnes replaced Jacob Murphy, who had been great in small parts so far. He and Anthony Gordon can switch between the right and left flanks, and this is likely to stay the same shape this weekend. However, Murphy’s assist on Alexander Isak’s game-winning goal last time out will have been noticed.

Newcastle predicted XI vs Southampton: Pope; Livramento, Fabian Schar, Burn, Kelly; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Barnes, Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak.
