FC Barcelona player Robert Lewandowski delivers verdict on their match after Girona 4-2 defeat
The night before, Barcelona lost 4–2 to Girona. Robert Lewandowski sent a message to fans and told the team to get better.
The Poland international scored from the penalty spot in the loss, giving him 17 goals for the season in La Liga.
With Lewandowski’s goal, Barcelona was ahead 2-1 and in charge at Montilivi, but Girona won all three points after another mistake.
This is what the striker wrote on social media after the game: “We haven’t reached the goals this club and its fans deserve.” We are going to do our best to do better. “Culers, we need to stick together.”
The latest loss for Barcelona is yet another bad day for the club. They’ve given up 13 goals in their last four games, losing to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in that time.
