According to Romano, Celtic and West Ham have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Cummings, and he will be officially incorporated into the team on July 1.

The Bhoys will only receive a training development compensation charge, as Cummings’ contract at Celtic is about to expire.

It has been reported that the sum is a mere £300k, which is a pitiful amount for a player who appears to possess an abundance of potential.

Romano also mentioned that Cummings has successfully completed his medical for West Ham and that it is now merely a matter of time before he is confirmed.

Cummings’ influence on Celtic B during the previous season

It is a pity to witness a youthful striker with an abundance of potential depart Celtic for a meager compensation fee.

Last season, Cummings was exceptional for Celtic B, which resulted in his first-team debut for the Hoops against Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Celtic B emerged from the group stage with three victories, thanks to the 19-year-old’s six goals in seven UEFA Youth League appearances.

Additionally, during the 2024/25 season, Cummings scored an astonishing 23 goals in 28 games in the Lowland League.

Celtic are counting the cost of another promising youngster departing for next to nothing, while West Ham are signing a wonderkid, there is absolutely no doubt about that.
