Matheus Cunha’s initial remarks as a Manchester United player following the completion of his £62.5 million transfer Matheus Cunha, a Brazilian attacker, has been acquired by Manchester United for £62.5 million from Wolves.
The 26-year-old Brazilian forward has signed a contract that will expire in June 2030, with the club having the option to extend it by an additional year. Cunha was enthusiastic about his transfer to Old Trafford, stating,
“It is difficult to articulate my emotions regarding becoming a Manchester United player.” United has been my favorite English team since I was a child in Brazil, watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother’s home. I have always fantasized of donning the red shirt.
I am grateful to my family and all those who have assisted me in realizing that aspiration. Jason Wilcox, United’s director of football, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of Matheus’s signing early in the window, stating, “Bringing in Matheus was one of our main priorities for this summer.”
