Former Celtic legend Chris Sutton delivers his own verdict ahead of Celtic F.C vs Rangers match

The buildup to the Glasgow Derby has reached the point where experts and past players try to guess which team will win: Celtic or Rangers.

The three points will be very important for both teams because they want to get into the Champions League group stage and win the winner’s medal, which comes with free millions.

For Celtic, winning pretty much locks up the title. Rangers would be in the title race until the last two games of the season if they won. They would also have the chance to win the millions of pounds that are up for grabs and close the gap in their finances over Parkhead.

As the game got closer, Chris Sutton gave his opinion on who he thought would win the important match. But there is one catch.

Sutton isn’t sure about Celtic’s defense.
Even though he is a big fan of Celtic, the former star player can also be very critical of the team when needed.

After hearing this statement, those who agreed with it will know why it came with a warning.

He said on the Record Celtic show, “I would just pick Celtic to win.” Mick talked about Celtic from set plays and cross balls, but I’m still not sure.

“What my head tells me is that Celtic has had a lot of great performances this season. No matter how good Hearts was for 90 minutes, how many times have Celtic had back-to-back really great performances this season?”

There is some truth to what Sutton said, but the main reason Celtic hasn’t been able to put together two good games in a row is because of injuries this season.

Rodgers has a full roster of players to choose from now, and Celtic’s play looks much better. Fans will be hoping for another showing like the one they saw against Hearts on the weekend.

Like every other Celtic fan, I hope we get the three points that will bring us one step closer to our third straight title.
