Former Chelsea Legend John Terry reveals his reasons why he thinks Manchester City will be the winners of the Premier League title this season rather than Arsenal
John Terry has said that he thinks Manchester City will win the Premier League this year.
Terry also said where he thinks Arsenal and Liverpool will finish in the top three, along with City.
The former Chelsea player has shown his respect for the Sky Blues in the past. In January, he admitted that it would be hard to catch them because of the club’s strong form and called them a “incredible team.”
John Terry also said nice things about Manchester City in January about how they check out the players they sign.
It’s clear that Terry likes City as a club as well as a team.
On the other hand, the race for the Premier League title is one of the closest we’ve seen in years, and Pep Guardiola’s team doesn’t look like a sure thing to win.
Terry says he thinks Manchester City will win the Premier League.
Chelsea was beaten badly by Arsenal 5-0 on Tuesday night, giving Arsenal a statement win.
This season, Mikel Arteta’s team may have played the best football in the league. They score goals like crazy and have the best defense in the country.
The Arsenal showed that they are very good at going on a winning streak until the end of the season. This is especially true after beating their London rivals so badly.
Liverpool was also by far the better team when they played Fulham.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was back in the starting lineup after being hurt, and he scored a great free kick to add to his good play.
Even though Mohamed Salah was rested, Jurgen Klopp’s team won 3-1 at Craven Cottage.
Still, John Terry was playing a game of “blind ranking” on TikTok with the Premier League. When Manchester City came up first, he put them in first place right away.
Yves Bissouma thinks Manchester City will win the Premier League this year.
Next up was Arsenal, which Terry put in third place while he put Liverpool in second place.
John Terry needs to know how important experience is in title races.
We think that one reason John Terry may have backed Manchester City to win the league is that he knows how important experience is in title races better than most people.
Terry played every single game for Chelsea when they won the league in 2014–2015, even though he was 34 years old at the start of the season.
The Englishman won the Champions League four years ago with a team that had Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, and Didier Drogba, all of whom were getting old.
So, with players like Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, and Bernardo Silva who have won a lot of games for Manchester City, John Terry would naturally side with them to beat such an experienced group and get the job done.
Having worked with a tough winner like Pep Guardiola in Jose Mourinho, the center back may see some similarities between this City team and the great Chelsea teams he was on.
