Bayern Munich and Burnley manager Vincent Kompany are “in advanced discussions” regarding the latter’s replacement of Thomas Tuchel. In his debut season as manager, Kompany led Burnley to the Premier League. However, despite that achievement, the club was unable to prevent an immediate relegation to the Championship, accumulating a mere 24 points in 38 league matches.

The search for a new manager at Bayern Munich has purportedly brought Burnley manager Vincent Kompany to the club.

According to reports, Kompany, who oversaw Anderlecht prior to his transfer to Turf Moor, is set to accept a position at the Allianz Arena after numerous managers, such as Xabi Alonso, Ralf Rangnick, and Julian Naglesmann, declined Bayern’s approaches. Despite the club’s February announcement that he would be leaving, Tuchel reportedly conducted discussions with the organization regarding an extension of his contract; nevertheless, those discussions came to an end as the German decided to depart as planned.

Company’s potential transfer to the Bundesliga club is anticipated to be accompanied by Craig Bellamy, a former forward for Newcastle United, to Germany. After retiring as a player, the 44-year-old worked at Cardiff City before connecting with Kompany, with whom he was a teammate at Manchester City, to serve as Anderlecht’s assistant manager. Since 2022, when he accompanied the Belgian to Burnley, the former Welsh international has served as his aide with the Clarets.

Bellamy represented Norwich City, Newcastle United, Celtic, Liverpool, and Cardiff City throughout his playing career, where he also captured the League Cup, Community Shield, Scottish Cup, and Championship. Bellamy amassed 43 goals and 23 assists in 128 matches for St James’ Park subsequent to his transfer from Coventry City.
