Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp reveals the names of the two Newcastle United players that are best in Premier League right now

Harry Redknapp, who used to lead Tottenham and West Ham, has a lot of good things to say about two Newcastle United players.

Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp says that Alexander Isak of Newcastle United is the best player in the Premier League right now. Redknapp also thinks that Anthony Gordon should make Gareth Southgate’s England team for Euro 24.

Swedish forward Isak scored two goals in Newcastle’s 5-1 win over Sheffield United on Saturday, giving him 23 goals for the season, 19 of which came in the Premier League. With four games left, he is now only two goals behind Erling Haaland for the most goals in the Premier League.

Redknapp has been very pleased with Isak and Gordon, who plays with him in attack. He thinks Gordon should be picked for the England team that goes to the European Championships in Germany this summer.

“Another week, another Alexander Isak star man, what a player this guy is!” When he picked his team of the week, Redknapp told the sports betting site BetVictor. “He seems like he’ll score a few goals in every game, especially at home. I don’t think there’s a better player in the country right now.” This season, Newcastle has been great going forward. Eddie Howe will be upset about how many injuries there are at the back, though, because that’s what’s really hurt this team this year.

Tony Gordon is another kid who always seems to be on this team; how can I leave him out? In the second half against Sheffield United, he was great. He got a penalty, set up a few goals, and was generally making things hard for Sheffield. He’s likely one of Gareth Southgate’s best players right now, and I don’t see how he won’t be on that plane to Germany.

Pickford, Castagne, Senesi, Akanji, Young, Saka, Gallacher, Wharton, Gordon, Haaland, and Isak make up Harry Redknapp’s team of the week.
