Celtic keeping an eye on Evan Ferguson
Evan Ferguson was linked with a move to Celtic during the summer, but the deal never happened as the Republic of Ireland striker opted for a loan switch to Roma instead. That move hasn’t worked out as planned, however, and reports that the loan could soon be cut short.
Because Ferguson hasn’t featured for Brighton & Hove Albion this season, he would still be eligible to play for Celtic—provided he does not appear for the Seagulls before a potential loan agreement is completed.
Kristoffer Ajer could deliver a financial boost
Former players can continue to benefit Celtic even after they’ve moved on, and Kristoffer Ajer may do exactly that. Wolfsburg are said to be preparing a renewed bid for the Brentford defender after their initial £13m offer was rejected.
Should Ajer secure a transfer, Celtic stand to earn additional funds thanks to the sell-on clause included when he left the club. Any fee Brentford receive would see a small percentage return to Celtic.
