GOAT – Rio Ferdinand reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace in the Champions LeagueRio Ferdinand, a former defender for Manchester United, has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo’s two goals in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al-Gharafa in the AFC Champions League Elite on Monday.
Ronaldo also scored the sole goal for his team in the 2-1 Saudi Pro League home loss to Al-Qadisiyah over the weekend. The 39-year-old scored in the 46th minute at the Al-Bayt Stadium, following a goalless first half.
Twelve minutes later, Angelo Gabriel extended the visitors’ lead to two goals. In the 64th minute, Ronaldo accomplished his brace, and Al-Gharafa’s Joselu scored a goal in the 75th minute.
Nevertheless, the hosts were unable to capitalise on the opportunity, as Stefano Pioli’s team resumed their winning streak.
Ferdinand merely commented with a GOAT emoji after Al-Nassr posted a photo of their captain celebrating one of his goals. Ronaldo’s career aggregate of 913 strikes for club and country, which includes the brace, is a record in the history of the game.
