“He is feeling the pressure” – English former pundit Chris Sutton deliver a shocking message over Rangers coach Philippe Clement comments to Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers ahead of their next match
When Brendan Rodgers said that Celtic and Rangers would have “fun” next weekend in the last league match of the season, Philippe Clement replied.
After Celtic beat Hearts 3-0 at Paradise on Saturday, Rodgers talked about the upcoming title race match and said he was excited to play the second-placed team.
Before the game starts, Celtic will be ahead by three points because they beat Kilmarnock at home earlier today.
After the game, Clement was asked about the derby and how much Rangers need to improve on Sky Sports [15:33]. He said, “It’s a totally different game.” I heard yesterday that they were going to have fun, so we are going to have fun too.
Right after, Chris Sutton, a former Celtic striker, said that he thinks Clement is getting a little tense as the race for trophies heats up.
Sutton answers what Clement and Rodgers said.
“I think Brendan has got under his skin there,” the expert told the host when asked if there were any mind games going on. As soon as he walked in, he was always cool and collected, but I think the stress is getting to him now.
“I don’t understand why Brendan said that; he must have been joking.” You should talk about it at the end of the season.
We’ll have a much better idea of who can be a winner by the end of the game next Saturday.
This Celtic team has won a lot of games over the years, so it makes sense that the Bhoys are the favorites, especially since they are playing at home.
But you can’t count on anything, and I think Celtic will know exactly how tough next week’s game will be.
It is known that these derbies are very uncertain, and the Bhoys will need to play their best to win. Some jokes Rodgers has made in the news shouldn’t make you think he doesn’t know that.
