‘He is so undervalued.’ Andy Halliday issues a warning shot to Celtic supporters, asserting that they may regret their evaluation of a single key player, stating, “You will not realise what you had until he’s gone.”
Celtic have had numerous star athletes over the years at Celtic Park; however, some of them have the potential to divide opinion. Greg Taylor is one such example; however, Halliday named Reo Hatate as the individual in question in this case. The 27-year-old is exceptional on his best day; however, there is a belief that we do not observe it frequently enough.
Hatate’s performance against St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup semi-final was exceptional; however, in the league match between the two teams just a few weeks prior, he appeared to be underperforming. Andy Halliday believes that Celtic supporters should show more affection towards Reo Hatate. The Motherwell man addressed the Clyde 1 Superscoreboard regarding his player of the week. Hatate,
of course, was the individual he referred to as “the best midfielder in the league.”He is one of the players that I believe will not be fully appreciated until his departure, and I thought he was exceptional during the weekend. “I believed that he was actively involved in all of Celtic’s positive endeavours, and he departs the pitch with three assists.
” The sole deficiency in his performance and one that he would likely have earned as well was a goal. Reo Hatate may be included in the summer reorganisation. The same inquiry is posed annually: “Will Hatate depart during the summer?” Brendan Rodgers intends to restructure the squad, which may necessitate the departure of certain players to create room for new talent.
Nevertheless, the midfield is one of the few positions that is well-stocked. The Bhoys have an abundance of talent, but it is possible that one of the bit-part players will depart. Celtic may consider selling Hatate while his value is still high, provided that there is interest. However, in an optimal world, who would not wish to retain Hatate?
