Manchester United
“Here we go” – Despite the ‘clear’ stance that Branthwaite has taken, Manchester United is ‘discussing’ an alternate transfer option for 23-year-old midfielder Manuel Ugarte
What’s new with Manchester United? Reports say that options to Manuel Ugarte are being thought about in case a deal with Paris Saint-Germain falls through.
Manchester United is trying to move forward with a possible deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. They also have a number of other players they could use instead.
One of them is Adrien Rabiot, a defender who used to play for Juventus and became a free agent last month. Martin Zubimendi, a defender for Real Sociedad, is another one.
The club is also interested in Sofyan Amrabat, who spent last season on loan at United from Fiorentina. In that deal, the chance to buy the Moroccan player has now expired, but a new deal could still happen. Those four seem to be the main ones, but another player is said to be being talked about.
Alternative to Ugarte
It was said on The Transfers Podcast by Duncan Castles that United is talking about Sander Berge as an option to Ugarte. “Another individual who I don’t think has been mentioned at all as a candidate for Manchester United, but who I’m told they are discussing as an option should the Ugarte deal not go through is Norway international Sander Berge,” said Castles.
