Newcastle United
Highlights: Burnley vs Newcastle United F.C. (1-4) – All Goals and Attempts
Newcastle United smashed it at Turf Moor, and there were many players who could have been named man of the match.
Burnley was swept aside by Newcastle United at Turf Moor, which was one of their best away games of the season.
As the game started, Burnley put some pressure on Newcastle, but Callum Wilson scored his second goal in as many games to put Newcastle ahead. Arijanet Muric blocked Isak’s shot 19 minutes in, and Wilson scored after that.
At the 35-minute mark, United doubled their lead thanks to a well-placed finish by Sean Longstaff from a cross by Jacob Murphy. This put Howe’s team in complete charge. Bruno Guimaraes scored a goal in the box with five minutes left in the first half thanks to a pass from Anthony Gordon. The score was 3-0.
Hunters’ Alexander Isak missed a chance early in the second half after Muric saved it, but three minutes later he made it 4-0 with a tap-in.
Here’s how the players did all around:
Martin Dubravka 8
They deserved a clean sheet because they kept Burnley at bay early on. But was turned down by late Ritchie’s mistake.
Tino Livramento 9
Some people might choose this player as the man of the match. He made some strong runs and looked like he owned the right side as he caused a lot of trouble.
Emil Krafth 7
Calmly stepped into the heart of defense. Claimed a fair number of items.
Dan Burn 7
The captain put on a steady show. A big steal for goal number three, which sets up Gordon.
Lewis Hall 8
Did a great job both offensively and defensively. Some really good catches.
Jacob Murphy 10
Played a big role in the first goal and then helped set up two more. Almost back to how he was before he hurt his shoulder in the fall. Touched the ball 45 times and always looked dangerous. The best player.
Bruno Guimaraes 8
For fun, I hit the ball around and scored a goal. Total of 99 hits.
Sean Longstaff 8
Helped score the first goal and scored one himself. Seemed to be back to feeling good about himself.
Anthony Gordon 9
Definitely going to be on the plane with England this summer. caused a lot of trouble, got a penalty, and set up a goal.
Callum Wilson 9
He looks great as he gets closer to being fully fit.
JAlexander Isak 8
He missed a penalty, but he made up for it with a goal from close range.
