Highlights: Celtic F.C vs Hearts (3-0 )- All Goals, Passes and Attempt

After a tough game on Saturday afternoon, Celtic easily beat Hearts. We’ve been waiting all season for the boys to put on a show where they made it impossible for their opponents to win.

Celtic blew out to a 2-0 lead over Hearts in the first half on Saturday. The third goal didn’t come until the very end, but the game was already over.

That being said, the penalty to Celtic was a great example of how referees now use technology to make choices instead of calling them live.

VAR controversy reveal over Celtic F.C vs Hearts match - How Kevin Clancy almost denied Celtic it's penalty after obvious Lawrence Shankland handball

On Saturday afternoon, Kevin Clancy had the chance to point to the spot without any help to do so. He did not stop the play, though, after Lawrence Shankland clearly touched the ball in his own box. Celtic fans, players, and even Shankland knew what was going to happen. There was a very short time before Clancy ran to the screen after the ball was out of play.

Our guess is that the voice would have said, “Mate, go to the screen, you’ve made an a*se of that one.” As soon as Clancy went to the screen, he got a penalty.

While standing ten feet away from the action, this judge is not doing his job because he knows he has help. This is not a complaint about VAR because it made a mistake.

VAR wasn’t set up to do that. I think Clancy would have pointed to the spot if VAR wasn’t used. If it’s not a completely controversial matter, referee the game inside the stadium. It was clear today.

Kyogo Furuhashi goals during Celtic F.C vs Hearts (3-0) | Scottish Premiership

Early in the game, Kyogo Furuhashi scored to put Celtic ahead of Hearts at Celtic Park.

In the Hearts goal, Zander Clark blocked a corner kick from Matt O’Riley. The ball then went to Reo Hatate on the edge of the box.

The Japanese player sent the ball to Kyogo a few yards from the goal. The Hoops striker made it clear with a spectacular header that went past Clark and Lawrence Shankland, who was on the line.

Even though VAR looked at the play to see if Kyogo was offside, it was clear that he wasn’t because Shankland was on the goal line.

In the end, it was decided to give Celtic an early 1-0 lead.

This season, Hearts has been tough for Celtic. They’ve won their last two games against them, both at home and away.

The VAR’s intervention at Tynecastle changed the course of the game, though, so it was clear that today’s game against an in-form Celtic team would be much tougher for the Jam Tarts.

While Celtic scored early on, Steven Naismith’s team has been making chances in a tough game up to this point.

Kyogo Furuhashi scored another goal to make it 2-0 to Celtic against Hearts at Celtic Park.

Matt O’Riley sent a beautiful through ball over the Hearts defense that Kyogo quietly met with a first-time volley for a spectacular goal in the 20th minute.

The pass and finish were simply amazing, showing how well O’Riley and Kyogo work together, which is not given enough credit.

This season, each player has helped set up a good number of goals. O’Riley’s amazing season makes him the clear favorite to win the Celtic Player of the Year award.

The best game Kyogo has had all season. He got two goals today, which is the first time since the last league game of the season against Aberdeen that he has done so.

Sometimes this season, the Japanese scorer has been called into question, but he has really come back strong near the end of the season.

Even though Adam Idah is putting pressure on him from the Celtic bench, he is definitely their best forward player.
