Charlie Mulgrew has expressed his conviction that Brendan Rodgers has spurred Celtic to excellence and enhanced the team since the time of Ange Postecoglou’s tenure.

Postecoglou introduced a football style to Celtic Park that captivated the Hoops fans and resulted in sell-out crowds every other week.

Charlie Mulgrew is of the opinion that Brendan Rodgers has enhanced the manner of Celtic football from the Postecoglou era, despite the difficulties the team faced last season.

Mulgrew is astounded by Rodgers’ “unbelievable” performance. Celtic
Celtic’s preseason campaign in the United States Tour was nothing short of spectacular, as they scored 12 goals in three games, including victories over DC United, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

Rodgers’ team has carried this momentum into the new season, and Celtic is already exhibiting their strength following a convincing victory over Kilmarnock and victories over Hibs in both the league and the League Cup.

Mulgrew was persuaded by the victory over Killie that Rodgers’ Celtic team was playing superior football to Postecoglou’s.

Mulgrew stated to Premier Sports, “I observed them play against Kilmarnock in the inaugural match of the season, and they were extraordinary.” Everyone is aware of their responsibilities, including the rotations and the manner in which they maintain their positions.

And now that Brendan Rodgers has been with the team for a year, it is clear to see the reflection of him as the leader on the pitch and how he envisions his team performing.

“It was intriguing when he entered.” It is evident that Postecoglou’s team played rapid, attacking football, and Brendan Rodgers was required to make adjustments to this.

“And how could you improve it further?” And he returns and replicates his performance from the previous year, which I believe was exceptional, given that the team was inconsistent with the wingers and Carter-Vickers was sidelined for an extended period of time, and there were several injuries last year.

“And you are currently witnessing the results of that this year, as the players are aware of their precise work locations.” They have demonstrated exceptional intelligence.

Celtic is in a strong position to defend the Scottish Premiership title.
Upon observing Celtic’s opening of the league campaign and their elimination of Hibs in the cup, it is evident that Rodgers has directed his players to engage in offensive play from the outset.

Celtic have already registered 78.5% possession and an 88.5% passing accuracy in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Rodgers’ team has been able to generate 25.8 attempts per game, with 10 of these shots successfully reaching their intended target. Celtic has scored four goals in the first 20 minutes of their first three encounters of the season.

Celtic have made a strong start to the new season, and despite the fact that they have only played three games, it is evident that they will be exceedingly difficult to contain.
