‘huge part’ – Eddie Howe gave his verdict over Kieran Trippier move out St James’ Park before next week’s deadline

After telling Newcastle United of his choice, Kieran Trippier could leave St. James’ Park before the August 30 deadline.

Even though Eddie Howe said again that Kieran Trippier is a “huge part” of the Newcastle United team going forward, Trippier is free to leave this summer.

The 33-year-old has been a regular in Howe’s starting XI since joining Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in 2022. However, the manager told the players last week that he would not be starting in their first game of the season against Southampton. He was also told that Bruno Guimaraes would be the new captain.

After Jamaal Lascelles was out for a long time, Trippier took over as captain. The defender, who is in the last year of his deal, played 45 minutes of Monday’s under-21s game against Sunderland. He had been a substitute in their 1-0 win over the Saints but did not play.

To give Trippier a boost last week, Howe said, “He’s [Tino Livramento] got serious competition in Kieran, and it’s going to be fascinating to see how those two players compete.” They are both very talented and very interesting people.

It is known, though, that Trippier would be willing to leave St. James’ Park before the deadline next week, and there are many teams that want to sign him. Football clubs like Atalanta, Galatasaray, and West Ham are said to be interested.

Everton is also rumored to want to sign Trippier and are planning a loan move and a meeting with Sean Dyche. Reports say that the two teams have already had their first talks.

This month, Saudi Arabia was interested in signing him. Howe responded, “I see him as a huge part of the team and the squad going forward, but there’ll always be the possibility that anyone could leave while we’re still dealing with financial fair play issues at the club.”

I don’t think Kieran wants to leave in a public way. This week he did really well in training, and when he came back for pre-season, he came back determined to fight for his spot, just like every other player does.

In the past few months, Saudi Arabia and Bayern Munich have also been interested in the right back.
