“I am extremely thankful” – Celtic F.C 29-year-old forward Kyogo Furuhashi gave his assessment over Vissel Kobe vs Kawasaki Frontale (1-0) match after he was made to be a commentator
Before returning to Lennoxtown for pre-season competition in the next couple of weeks, the Celtic team is now taking advantage of some time off from their club responsibilities.
While others are away on foreign duty, they are either participating in the Copa America or the EURO 2024 tournament. Meanwhile, some have been on vacation, basking in the sun, although it should come as no surprise that Glasgow has not been seeing a lot of sunshine just recently.
Kyogo Furuhashi has been spending time in Japan after his contribution to another great season at Parkhead, where he registered 19 goals and five assists in 50 matches across all competitions. Now that we are back to the important business at hand, Kyogo Furuhashi has been spending time in Brazil.
Before answering a few questions about his career, the 29-year-old had already traveled to witness his first club, Gifu, play against Numazu the previous week. This was done before he answered a few questions about his overall career.
Now, he has paid a visit to Vissel Kobe, where he made his debut as a commentator in their 1-0 victory over Kawasaki Frontale yesterday. He also signaled his determination to continue scoring in “faraway places,” implying that any speculation over a return to his country in the near future is completely out of the question.
A post on Kyogo Furuhashi’s Instagram account that he made after his commentary bow
Taking to Instagram, Furuhashi has provided some insight about the experience of commentating with Ryohei Hayashi and Emiri Nakagawa at the National Stadium. He has shared his thoughts on how the event went.
During his tenure at Vissel Kobe, he also remarked on his time there, saying, “On June 16th, I went to the match between Vissel Kobe and Kawasaki Frontale at the National Stadium as a commentator!” (translated by DeepL). I was anxious from the beginning to the end because it was my very first time commentating on something. It was a very positive experience, despite the fact that I was not particularly good at speaking. Despite the fact that I was really anxious and unable to communicate very well, it was a wonderful experience.
I am extremely thankful for the assistance that I received from the individuals with whom I collaborated, such as Ryohei Hayashi and Emiri Nakagawa, as well as from everyone else who was instrumental in this endeavor. Finally, but certainly not least, despite the fact that it took place in the National Stadium, I had the opportunity to meet Kobe Bryant players, supporters, and people who are always there for us in person, which provided me with even more motivation. Beginning right now, I will give it my all! I am grateful to you for the amazing time!
It is heartening to see Furuhashi taking advantage of his time away from Celtic to immerse himself in new experiences before returning to Parkhead to get ready for yet another rigorous season where he will be playing.
“He’s a great player, but he’s also a really humble and nice guy,” said his fellow analyst Hayashi, who was impressed by the insight he brought in the job. This statement was cited by Abema Times. I want to show my support for him. After that, he continued by saying, “He really demonstrated his courteous and sincere personality.”
Since the Celtic talisman is once again expected to play a vital role for the team in the 2024–2025 season, it is hoped that he has been able to get plenty of rest throughout the offseason, which is something that he has earned.
