Cole Palmer, a defender for Chelsea, has said that he knows why he is not as good as bukayo Saka and Phil Foden in the England team.

In their first two Euro 2024 games, against Serbia and Denmark, Gareth Southgate did not take Palmer off the bench from either game.

The 22-year-old did play in the last 30 minutes of the 0-0 draw with Slovenia, though.

More people want Southgate to start him in Sunday’s last-16 match against Slovakia because of his debut.

Palmer, however, said, “I feel ready, but it’s not up to me.” I wait for my turn and do what I do when it comes….

“I was just excited to be on for twenty minutes and thought I would try to do something or make a difference.”

“I wouldn’t say I’m impatient because I know it’s my first tournament and players like Saka, Foden, and Bellingham are in the same boat as me, so I get it.” But I just want to move on and do well when I do.
