After being coached by Aaron Glenn and Dan Campbell with the Detroit Lions, a former New York Jets player did not neglect the opportunity to express his desire to return to the Green Team for the 2025 NFL season.

The New York Jets’ restructuring process has been significantly influenced by the 2025 offseason. The team has implemented numerous initiatives to revitalise the roster under the leadership of new head coach Aaron Glenn, who previously collaborated with Dan Campbell. This transition even prompted a former player, who last played for the Detroit Lions in the NFL, to express his desire to return to the Green Team.

The Jets have commenced the post-Rodgers era and are continuing to maintain their level of activity. Recent hours have witnessed the announcement of the signing of defensive end Michael Fletcher and the release of kicker Greg Zuerlein. It is evident that New York’s objectives are to fortify its defensive line and revitalise its roster.

Glenn’s team could still benefit from adding a bit of experience on defence, especially if it’s someone who has already played for Gang Green and last suited up for the Campbell’s Lions, where Glenn worked until just a few months ago. However, the younger players on this revamped Jets squad will rally behind Justin Fields on offence.

“It would be a dream come true to repair that relationship and make it right.” The most significant regret I have is that Joe Douglas and I never engaged in a single face-to-face conversation or phone contact prior to my trade. “That is the point at which I wish we could rectify the situation, as I cannot speak for him, but I failed to handle the situation appropriately at the time,” Adams continued.

What was the reason for Adams’ departure from the Jets?
Adams’ career with the Jets was on the rise; however, differences with then-general manager Joe Douglas and head coach Adam Gase resulted in the controversial transfer of the safety, who was draughted sixth overall in 2017, to the Seattle Seahawks. Adams desires to atone for his actions in retrospect.
