The 19-year-old has had a great season at Benfica and has caught the attention of scouts from all over Europe, including Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. Man United has been keeping an eye on the young midfielder’s growth for a while and has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
A lot of teams want to sign him this summer, but Benfica has made their position clear. Neves has a £102 million (€120 million) release clause, so the Eagles will not consider any bids below £85 million (€100 million). They are also sure that they will be able to keep him for next season.
City is one of the clubs that have been mentioned, and Silva has said that he would like to play with Neves and that Pep Guardiola doesn’t need to be persuaded. “I would tell him to join Manchester City,” he said when asked about Neves’ ties to United.
“It’s not simple. He is a player that many teams want because of how well he did last season. I’d like to play with him because he’s Portuguese and a great player.
