St. James’ Park was the location of a hard-fought match between Newcastle United and Brighton, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Miguel Almiron and Julio Enciso were both booked for simulation during Saturday’s draw, and Alan Shearer has lashed out at both of them for their actions.

Even though Darren England may not have had the best performance at St. James’ Park, he did make the proper decision to book the two players on those occasions. Both players were issued yellow cards by England.

On Match of the Day, Shearer refused to defend Almiron, saying, “I’m not going to protect him.” Micah Richards was also present during this conversation. Unfortunately, both of them were awful dives. Shockingly, both players did it. Oh, how terrible it is!

Both sides were forced to settle for a point on a sunny afternoon in the northeastern region of the country. Neither Enciso nor Almiron were able to create a difference for their respective clubs.

As a consequence of this outcome, which Roberto De Zerbi referred to as a reasonable one, Newcastle is aware that they will need to win both of their remaining games in order to ensure that they finish in sixth place, with Chelsea and Manchester United both keeping a close eye on them.

“They got into some really good positions,” Shearer said in reference to Newcastle’s performance. All things considered, with the exception of the goal that they scored, I thought they were playing very close to the goal. It was a reasonable outcome to have a draw.”

Even though the Seagulls will not be able to qualify for Europe in the upcoming season, they are going to have a significant impact on who decides to do so.

This week, they will play Chelsea and Manchester United, both of which will take place before their campaign comes to a finish. In the meanwhile, the Magpies will complete the season away at Brentford on Sunday, following a trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday night when they will be playing.
