Immediately following the surgery of another Arsenal star, Declan Rice and Gabriel transmitted injury messages.
After another Arsenal player undergoes surgery, Declan Rice and Gabriel send injury messages. At present, Arsenal appears to be unable to avoid injuries, as Reiss Nelson is the most recent player to undergo surgery to address a muscular issue.
The 25-year-old, who joined Fulham on loan this past summer, has not appeared since their victory over Brighton in December due to a hamstring injury.
Fulham manager Marco Silva responded, “Reiss Nelson will be absent for an extended period,” when queried about the duration of his absence. It is challenging to predict his return date. Most likely, it will take approximately ten weeks. Nelson was on the brink of a revival as his estimated return date approached, but he encountered a new issue.
“Reiss Nelson sustained an additional injury in the opposing leg two days ago,” Silva disclosed prior to the Fulham vs Nottingham Forest match. “It looks serious again, it’s a big blow for us.” Silva’s verdict was presumably vindicated when Nelson posted an update to social media from a hospital bed.
The Arsenal triumvirate all responded with heart emojis, including Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice, and Riccardo Calafiori. Nelson is the third Arsenal player to endure surgery in the past few months, following the surgeries of Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
Having sustained a muscular injury in late December, the latter has been absent, while Havertz tore his hamstring during Arsenal’s Dubai training program. Gabriel Martinelli is also absent at present, but his absence is anticipated to be brief, as he is presently experiencing a less severe issue.
