After Newcastle United’s 12-word statement, Alexander Isak bestows a sophisticated new moniker upon Bruno Guimaraes.
On Saturday afternoon, Newcastle United defeated Leicester City 4-0 at St James’ Park, with Bruno Guimaraes scoring his first goal of the season.
Newcastle’s advantage was doubled by Guimaraes following Jacob Murphy’s goal in the first half. Three minutes later, Alexander Isak made it 3-0, and Murphy scored once more to complete the resounding victory.
The Magpies’ four-game streak without a victory in the Premier League was terminated as they responded to a disappointing 4-2 loss at Brentford the previous week. Guimaraes expressed his satisfaction with the team’s victory and goal on social media following the match.
I am grateful for the unwavering support of my family and God in every circumstance. It is consistently a delightful experience to score a goal at St James’ Park.
Tenacity.Guimaraes accompanied the message with images of himself and his family at the match on Saturday afternoon, as well as a quote in Portuguese that read: “Uma mente forte sofre sem reclamar, uma mente fraca reclama sem sofrer…”
The quote, when translated into English, is as follows: “A strong mind endures suffering without complaint, while a weak mind complains without experiencing it.”
Guimaraes disclosed that the players had exchanged “strong words” during the week prior to the match.
The Newcastle club captain stated in his programme notes, “We can disregard our friendships when necessary.” Sometimes, in order to be a genuine group, it is necessary to engage in discussions and use forceful language.
In response to Guimaraes’ Instagram post, Newcastle goalscorer Isak bestowed the nickname “El Mejor” upon the midfielder, which translates to “the best” in Spanish.
