After the PIF’s appeal, Alan Shearer may now be granted his wish for a Newcastle United stadium. Alan Shearer has a single desire regarding the construction of a new Newcastle United stadium by PIF.

After Yasir Al-Rumayyan was presented with stadium plans, the Newcastle United owners are presently contemplating the future of St James’ Park. Al-Rumayyan, the PIF chief, has been in attendance at Newcastle’s victory over Nottingham Forest on Tyneside.

He was also in town to discuss the future of St James’ Park, with many members of the club favouring the construction of a new stadium over the expansion of the Magpies’ current home. It is anticipated that the PIF will sanction a new stadium, which will result in the closure of St James’ Park. In October, Alan Shearer expressed his opinion regarding Newcastle United’s construction of a new stadium.

That is an action that many Newcastle United supporters, including Alan Shearer, are opposed to. In October, the Newcastle United legend disclosed to The Rest Is Football podcast that he intends to remain at St James’ Park. Nevertheless, he was unequivocal in his assertion that a new stadium would be acceptable, provided that it remained in the city centre, similar to St James’ Park.

“There is discussion regarding its relocation behind the Leazes End, and I would be amenable to this.” “If you were to provide me with the opportunity, I would prefer to remain at St James’ Park and attempt to extend my stay.” However, if that is not feasible, I comprehend the rationale. However, it must remain in the city centre.

Shearer appears to have secured his desire, as Newcastle United’s proposal involves the construction of a stadium with a capacity of 70,000 that is situated adjacent to St James’ Park and occupies a portion of Leazes Park. Although it is currently believed that Newcastle United will depart St James’ Park but continue to play their football in the city centre, official confirmation is not imminent.

PIF is known for their very methodical approach, as Newcastle United supporters are well aware. They do not make hasty decisions, as they were only presented with stadium proposals over the weekend. PIF will now evaluate the alternatives that have been presented to them and determine the most suitable course of action.

And even if PIF ultimately determines that a new stadium is the appropriate course of action, Newcastle United will not be able to move into their new home for an extended period. The successor of St. James’ Park is expected to require approximately seven years to construct, as reported by the Telegraph.
