Injury boost for Newcastle United as influential figure nears comeback before Fulham game.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has provided an encouraging update on the fitness of Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Fulham at St James’ Park.

The Magpies are set to return to league action on Saturday (3pm kick-off) with no new injury concerns. Sandro Tonaliremains a slight doubt due to illness after missing Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League victory over Benfica, while Hall, Livramento, and Yoane Wissa — all recovering from injuries — have returned to light training.

Wissa, who joined from Brentford in a £55 million deal, is yet to make his debut for Newcastle but could be available within the next two weeks as he continues his recovery from a knee issue. Livramento, also sidelined with a knee injury sustained against Arsenal, is said to be making faster-than-expected progress after returning to the grass in under a month — well ahead of his initial eight-week recovery timeframe.

Hall, who picked up a hamstring injury against Union Saint-Gilloise, was initially expected to face a lengthy spell out. However, after a positive second scan, Howe confirmed the 21-year-old is on the shorter end of his recovery window and edging closer to a comeback.

“Tino is back on the grass and progressing really well — we’re delighted with how he’s looking,” Howe said. “Lewis is the same. He’s been pushing himself hard in training and has managed back-to-back sessions, which is great to see. Hopefully, he’s not too far away now.”

While the Fulham match may arrive too soon for Hall, his rapid progress represents a major boost for Howe and his squad as they look to maintain their strong form across competitions.
