Ipswich Town Encouraged to Sign Striker as Patrick Bamford Links Emerge

Ipswich Town have been encouraged to add an experienced striker during the January transfer window, with Sheffield United forward Patrick Bamford emerging as a possible target.

The 32-year-old joined the Blades on a short-term deal in November and has impressed with five goals in ten Championship appearances.

However, his contract is set to expire after Sheffield United’s FA Cup tie against Mansfield Town, and while talks over an extension are ongoing, interest from rival clubs is growing.

Journalist Alan Nixon reports that Ipswich could move for Bamford should he opt against renewing at Bramall Lane, with the Tractor Boys monitoring developments closely.
