Ronaldo discloses the rationale behind his decision to decline invitations to participate in the Club World Cup: “It is illogical.” Cristiano Ronaldo,
the legendary player of Manchester United, has finally disclosed the rationale behind his decision to remain at Al Nassr. The 40-year-old striker stated that he was ensuring his physical fitness for the FIFA World Cup next year and for his club.
Ronaldo stated that he received proposals to participate in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, but ultimately chose to remain with Al Nassr. The Portuguese individual stated that he required some time to recuperate prior to the commencement of a new season. After signing a new contract with Al Nassr, the football goal champion expressed his intention
to focus on preparing for the upcoming season and maintaining his physical fitness for the FIFA World Cup. “I had some offers to play [Club] World Cup,” he stated, as quoted by ESPN. “However, I believe that it did not make sense for me to do so, as I would rather have a good rest and prepare for the upcoming season, which will be quite lengthy, as it is the World Cup season in the end.”
Therefore, I intend to be adequately prepared for both the national team and Al Nassr. This is the reason I am interested in remaining, as I am committed to the endeavor. Ronaldo will remain at Al Nassr until 2027 as a result of his new contract.
