Rafael Urakhtin, the manager of Kairat Almaty, was forthright in his criticism of his players subsequent to their unexpected league loss.
Almaty, despite dominating the Kazakhstan Premier League, suffered a 3-2 defeat to Yelimay Semey after relinquishing a two-goal advantage.
The preparation for their extensive voyage to Glasgow was subpar, particularly in light of Celtic’s 4-1 victory over Falkirk prior to the Champions League qualifier.
Urakhtin did not tolerate any pity for his athletes, who were castigated for their inadequate performance.
The manager of Kairat Almaty has stated that they conceded “childish goals.”
The Kairat manager, in response to his team’s defeat, which has resulted in a three-point lead at the top of the table, accused his players of conceding careless goals.
He stated, “Our defeat was disappointing.” We were far from our best defensively, and we conceded ridiculous goals.
“Conceding goals of this nature is unacceptable when one is contending for the league championship.”
“We were aware that they would be challenging to disassemble, but we were able to do so…and then we conceded some stupid goals.”
“I commend my players when they perform well, but when we commit such elementary errors as we did, I am compelled to call them out.”
Against Kairat Almaty, Celtic are the clear favorites.
Despite the fact that Celtic will be required to embark on a significant journey to Kazakhstan, there is still a conviction that they should qualify for the Champions League main stage.
The journey to Almaty for fans is arduous, but those who do make the trip will be optimistic that the stalemate will be effectively resolved in the first leg.
Brendan Rodgers will have a nearly full strength squad to select from, and the Celtic Park crowd is expected to support the Bhoys, making it difficult to envision them being anything other than the favorites.
