“It was successful,” Rasmus Hojlund reveals that Ruben Amorim provided him with guidance prior to Manchester United’s goal.
On Thursday evening, Rasmus Hojlund expressed his gratitude to Ruben Amorim for providing him with the guidance that resulted in Manchester United’s inaugural goal against Bodo/Glimt.
Hojlund’s aggressive pressuring resulted in the opposition custodian being dispossessed, and United secured the lead within the first minute of the match against Bodo/Glimt.
Alejandro Garnacho capitalised on Hojlund’s exceptional performance by converting into an unoccupied goal. Bodo/Glimt subsequently forced their way back into the match; however, Hojlund equalised the score on the verge of halftime and scored the match-winning goal in the second half.
Holland interviewed on the pitch by TNT Sports immediately following the final siren, during which the striker discussed Amorim’s instructions that ultimately resulted in goals for United. Hojlund responded, “Yes and no,” when asked whether he was satisfied with the performance.
“It was somewhat of a shaky start, but we recovered and demonstrated our character. However, we are committed to ensuring that these games are not overly thrilling. Ultimately, it is all about the three points, and we have successfully achieved them.”
“He [Amorim] advised me to focus less on the individuals immediately behind me and instead focus on the individuals in front of me. He was very aggressive, and you were able to observe this in the first goal.”
“It will require time to adjust to the new tactics; however, the patterns are already apparent and improving.
However, it will require additional time to settle into the season following a challenging start.” We simply need to expand upon it.
For me, it evokes memories of playing with Atalanta, where we employed a 3-4-3 formation, which is well-suited to my abilities.
Despite missing the beginning of the season due to a hamstring injury, Hojlund’s performance against Bodo/Glimt signalled a return to form.
