After Scotland was kicked out of EURO 2024 last night, Celtic’s four stars who were there will have some time to rest.

Callum McGregor and Anthony Ralston played a big role in all three of their Group A games. James Forrest and Greg Taylor, on the other hand, were left on the bench as replacements who were not used.

Nevertheless, Scotland missed a chance to win their spot in the next round in Germany, which he honestly discussed with the media after the game.

Speaking to BBC Sport Scotland, Ralston came clean and said that he and his fellow players are hurt by what happened yesterday. However, he still believes that Scotland will be able to get back on track once the dust settles.

Speaking to BBC Sport Scotland, Ralston came clean and said that he and his fellow players are hurt by what happened yesterday. However, he still believes that Scotland will be able to get back on track once the dust settles.

As he put it, “It’s hard to put into words, we’re obviously gutted.” I’m proud of this team of players, coaches, and managers. We’ve certainly given this game our all; it’s obviously disappointing, and we’re all gutted.

“We will be proud of it in the future.” It’s painful to admit that we didn’t quite make it, but we’ll just pick ourselves back up.

“We’re all gutted. I just want to say thank you to all the fans who came to all three games and watched from home, their support throughout the season, and their family and friends who did the same. We’re so grateful; it really helped us, and we wish we could have done it for you, but it is what it is.”

It’s not like Ralston to give up when things get tough. Even though this is a tough time for everyone connected to the national team, you don’t get to the other side without strong people ready to turn things around.

He can be proud to be on the big stage, even though he is being played as a wing-back, which is not his usual position as leader of the Tartan Army or Steve Clarke.

Ralston will now have some time to relax before he goes back to work for the club at some point during the pre-season routine.
