Jeffrey Schlupp provides commentary following Celtic’s announcement regarding their deadline day acquisition, along with Brendan Rodgers’ immediate response.
Celtic has officially announced the acquisition of Jeffrey Schlupp from Crystal Palace on a loan basis, coinciding with the transfer deadline day.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Celtic has reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with Crystal Palace regarding a loan arrangement, which does not include an option for purchase.
As Schlupp’s medical examination with Celtic is scheduled to occur in London this evening, developments have progressed rapidly, as Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers seeks to secure his second acquisition of the winter transfer window.
Following the successful completion of the agreement, which was finalized prior to the 11 PM deadline, Celtic has officially announced that Schlupp will don the green and white Hoops for the remainder of the season. Jeffrey Schlupp’s communication to Celtic supporters following the successful completion of his transfer on deadline day.
In a statement released on Celtic’s official website, Schlupp expressed, “I am truly delighted to join Celtic, a club with such a significant and iconic reputation in the realm of football.” “I have engaged in discussions with Brendan, and I am genuinely eager to collaborate with him and the team as we strive to secure additional trophies for our supporters.”
“The team has already performed exceptionally well this season, both in domestic competitions and in Europe. I am aware that I am joining a highly successful squad; however, I aspire to contribute further, to play my own role, and to assist in our pursuit of even greater accomplishments.”
“I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to commence my journey, to don the iconic green and white hoops, engage with the supporters, and dedicate my utmost efforts to ensure the continued success and enjoyment of our community.” Brendan Rodgers commends the ‘significant enhancement’ to Celtic’s roster.
Rodgers expressed his satisfaction in securing Schlupp’s services, stating that Celtic will gain from his extensive experience in the sport. Rodgers expressed, “I am genuinely delighted that we have successfully acquired Jeffrey for the club.” I am confident that he will thrive at Celtic, and I believe our supporters will appreciate both him and the contributions he will make to our team.
“He is an exceptional individual, possessing extensive high-level experience and remarkable attributes, including strength, speed, and versatility.”I am confident that he will prove to be a significant asset to our team this season. It appears that Celtic has been unsuccessful in securing a replacement for
Kyogo Furuhashi and will consequently enter the concluding phases of the season with only Adam Idah and Johnny Kenny as the sole strikers within the club. Supporters are expected to respond favorably to the announcement regarding Schlupp; however, there is likely to be a backlash concerning the club’s failure to adequately replace the Japanese talisman.
