Willum Thor Willumsson Could Return to Birmingham City Sooner Than Expected
Birmingham City’s Willum Thor Willumsson hasn’t featured since August, but recent reports suggest he could return sooner than initially feared. The Iceland international, who contributed seven goals and nine assists in 48 appearances last season, has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury since Birmingham’s defeat to Leicester City at the end of August.
According to Football League World journalist Neil Moxley, Willumsson has “kicked on” in his recovery, raising hopes he could be back before the turn of the year. While details of the 27-year-old’s injury remain unclear, progress updates from head coach Chris Davies have been encouraging.
