Latest injury update on Celtic F.C two defenders Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers
Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers were both seen working at Lennoxtown on Friday, which is good news for Celtic fans.
Carter-Vickers couldn’t play for the US this time because he was seen in a safety boot after the 3-0 win over Rangers.
Johnston, meanwhile, had to be taken off of Canada’s friendly match against the USA because his leg hurt.
But it looks like Brendan Rodgers will be able to use both for the next two games, which are against Hearts at Celtic Park on Saturday and Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday night.
Johnston and Carter-Vickers, a Celtic pair, were seen on Friday.
The defensive duo, along with Greg Taylor and James Forrest (who both missed recent national service), were caught on camera by Sky Sports.
We haven’t heard from the manager yet about everyone’s condition, but it looks like they won’t be late for work because of anything big.
With the Champions League coming up, choices need to be made.
Even though they worked together on Friday, the boss may still choose to rest them for the Hearts game.
Rodgers has choices if he wants to protect someone before the Champions League starts. Anthony Ralston is free and Auston Trusty is in the building.
His team is doing well, so he won’t want to change them too much. There’s also no need to take any chances.
It might be best to rest Johnston on Saturday because he has played a lot of football in the last few months thanks to his great play in the Copa America. That would let him hit Slovan Bratislava in the harsh way he usually does.
