Latest transfer decision on Manchester United target Jarrad Branthwaite move to Old Trafford

After hearing about it on Saturday morning, it looks like Manchester United is finally winning the fight to sign Jarrad Branthwaite.

The Liverpool Echo has learned that Everton fans are becoming more and more sure that United will finish a deal to bring Branthwaite to Old Trafford. After playing for Carlisle United in League Two as recently as 2019, the 21-year-old has gone through a meteoric rise.

Before they agree to let Branthwaite go, Everton wants to wait for a fee of £75 million. This is, of course, a big expense at a time when Sir Jim Ratcliffe is trying to save money.

But what people at Goodison Park are thinking about it shows why United think it’s a good deal. When Branthwaite was called up to the England team for the first time in March, his boss Sean Dyche was asked if it would be hard for the defender to keep his feet on the ground now.

Dyche replied, “That won’t be a problem any longer.” “He came in and hasn’t changed. He’s gotten a lot of good reviews since coming back from PSV, which is fair; he’s won a lot of man of the match awards.”

“Don’t forget that he signed a new deal. He’s been with the Under-21s and been pretty steady” You want him to change for the better, though. You want him to be more himself and keep doing well on the field, creating his own image.

“I had Tarky (James Tarkowski) and Keano (Michael Keane) when they were young (at Burnley), they started expressing themselves as individuals with the way they play and then as leader types.” It’s clear that the Everton staff thinks Branthwaite is on the right track to become the best player in the world, which makes United fans very happy.

The type of player United wants to bring to the club in the summer is that one. Ratcliffe and INEOS like to bring in younger players who can be sold a second time and will make the team better in the long run.

United is willing to pay a lot of money to get Branthwaite because his play this season suggests he would be able to handle the big game at Old Trafford.
