Mass Resignations in Turkey as a Result of Leaked Messages Regarding Jose Mourinho After a WhatsApp chain of messages regarding Jose Mourinho was published online,
each member of Turkey’s professional football disciplinary committee has resigned. The Special One has consistently been a figure of controversy. His unwavering dedication to football is evident to all, and the relationships he establishes with players
and supporter bases at every destination are unparalleled. However, he has never been hesitant to express his opinions, which has also resulted in him making a few adversaries over the years. He has pursued rival managers, his own players, and even officials. There is no one who is immune to the former Chelsea coach. His transfer to Fenerbahce in 2024 is no exception.
He has brought all the usual pyrotechnics with him, and the disciplinary committee initiated a text chain discussing him after his antics caused them to become upset. It was not long before Mourinho began to offend individuals after relocating to Turkey. He was involved in a physical altercation with Okan Buruk, the manager of Galatasaray, earlier this year. He is one of the most exceptional administrators of all time; however, he is an official’s worst nightmare.
A text chain between Turkey’s professional football disciplinary committee has been released online, and the messages were so alarming that all members have resigned as a result. The board was informed by the president of the committee, Celal Nuri Demirturk, that “We will make him pay for this next season,” according to the Turkish outlet Ajansspor.
He has been tolerated excessively. It is believed that the WhatsApp conversation was in reference to Mourinho’s criticism of Turkish referees following his team’s match against Galatasaray in February. Galatasaray publicly accused the former Manchester United player of bigotry after the Special One claimed that his opponents’ bench was ”
jumping up and down like monkeys.” He responded by declaring his intention to file a lawsuit against them for the accusation. An official club statement has been issued by Fenerbahce in response to the WhatsApp messages that have been released. As quoted by talkSPORT, they stated: ”
In response to the correspondence that was made public today and is purported to be from members of the Professional Football Disciplinary Board, our club has submitted an official application to the Turkish Football Federation.” We are of the opinion that this hostile mentality, which is founded on showdowns and revenge and plainly violates the principle of impartiality, has no place in Turkish Sports.
