Lionel Messi’s sentiments regarding Alejandro Garnacho, the hero of Manchester United, are emphatic.

Over the past year, Manchester United’s star player Alejandro Garnacho has been one of the club’s most

promising players, and Lionel Messi, Garnacho’s international teammate, recognises his exceptional abilities. In the Kopa Trophy voting, Messi was one of four former Ballon d’Or winners to place Garnacho in their top three. However, it was insufficient to secure his position on the overall podium. Arda Guler, a Real Madrid and Turkey prodigy, secured the second position, while Kobbie Mainoo, a teammate of Garnacho at United, finished in third. Nevertheless, Garnacho received the support of several prominent figures.

Marco van Basten, the Dutch legend, was the sole voter to rank Garnacho second, as reported by L’Equipe. No one had him at the top of the list.

 

Messi was one of three individuals who ranked Garnacho third, the other two being Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Karim Benzema. Van Basten also included Mainoo on the podium, placing the England sensation in third place. Mainoo was ranked second by numerous former England and United strikers, including Michael Owen.Mainoo

 

was the inaugural Premier League player to achieve a top three overall result in the Kopa Trophy voting. Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho, who are also England internationals, have also qualified for the tournament.
