This weekend, Celtic plays Aberdeen at the national stadium, and Brendan Rodgers is hoping to keep his perfect record in the Scottish Cup at the semi-final stage.

He has won 15 straight games in the competition, and the Irishman will be keen to make it 16 by leading the Bhoys to their first domestic final of the season.

Of course, Celtic are coming into the game at the national stadium after a crazy weekend in the Scottish Premiership. Rodgers’ team beat St. Mirren easily, and then Rangers shocked everyone by losing at home to Ross County.

Still, cup football is a whole different animal. Peter Leven will lead Aberdeen into the match as the date for their planned summer hire of Elfsborg manager Jimmy Thelin gets closer.

Celtic has already beaten Buckie Thistle, St. Mirren, and Livingston. However, the Dons will be a tough test because they only need to win to stay in the top flight this season.

The officials and VAR have confirmed that Celtic will go to Hampden.

Fans who can’t make it in person will be able to watch the whole thing live on BBC Scotland and Viaplay on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Now, Don Robertson has been named as the judge for our trip to Hampden. Graeme Taylor and Steven Traynor will run either line for the Scottish FA.

Greg Aitken will be in charge of the VAR for the semi-final, and Andrew McWilliam will be there to review any choices that people don’t agree with. This time, David Dickinson has been brought in as the fourth judge.

Celtic will want to protect the Scottish Cup as they try to finish the season with a domestic double.

The winner on Saturday will play either Heart of Midlothian or Rangers in the final on May 25. That same day, May 25, is also the 57th anniversary of the famous achievements of the Lisbon Lions on the continent.
