De Bruyne got two great goals and set up another one at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, even though he hadn’t played against Aston Villa the day before. The City manager, Pep Guardiola, said that De Bruyne won the game for the team by himself at Selhurst Park. He was happy with how his star player was doing and how he got back in shape just in time for the end of the season.

It took three days, though, and the 32-year-old wasn’t even playing for Real Madrid. Phil Foden, on the other hand, got back to being the number 10 player in the Spanish city. Guardiola’s decision to sit De Bruyne on the bench was strange.

We thought De Bruyne would be on the team at first, but when he got to the Bernabeu, he started throwing up and told the staff he couldn’t play. No one saw him getting ready for the game with his friends.
