After the latest news, Arsenal may have a much better chance of getting Newcastle United star Alexander Isak.

Manchester United had been mentioned with the striker before, but now the Gunners may be the ones most likely to sign Isak.

There is no doubt that Mikel Arteta wants to add a striker to the team this summer. Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Ivan Toney of Brentford have both been heavily linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium.

Victor Gyokeres of Sporting and Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna have also been named as possible future players for Arsenal.

Man United is no longer in first place.

But the Gunners have seen Isak play for Real Sociedad before, and they might be willing to show interest in the Sweden international again.

Isak keeps doing great in the Premier League. The scorer has speed, can finish, and knows how to connect with his teammates.

With Isak, Man United might not be able to make a deal. The iPaper says that as part of their talks for Dan Ashworth, the Magpies are thinking about putting a trade ban on any deals with Manchester United.

Arsenal might be able to use Newcastle’s sale to their advantage.
The media is spreading rumors that Newcastle is planning a fire sale to get rid of players because they are short on cash. This gives the Gunners faith in their pursuit.

Arsenal will not be the only ones who want Isak, though, if he is put on the transfer window.

If United gives in to Newcastle’s demands and recognizes the “transfer ban” clause, Arsenal may be able to sign Isak without any problems if they decide that he is the best person to lead Arteta’s line in the near and far future.
