A sum has been agreed upon between Manchester City and Lyon for the sale of Rayan Cherki, and it is anticipated that the playmaker will complete his move to the Etihad Stadium prior to the first transfer deadline on Tuesday.

A fee of forty million euros has been agreed upon between City and the French club in exchange for the 21-year-old player, and it is believed that personal terms have also been finalized. Following this, the winger will go to Manchester for a medical examination in order to finalize his transfer in time for the transfer deadline that is set for Tuesday evening at 7 o’clock.

This cut-off is in place to ensure that clubs are able to conduct business prior to the beginning of the Club World Cup. If the Cherki trade is finalized without any complications, the France international will be eligible to participate in the competition and may make his debut for City in the group stage opener against Wydad the following week.

Man City's latest transfer news: As a breakthrough of €40 million, an agreed-upon fee, and a medical examination of Rayan Cherki has been revealed

Last week, Cherki made his debut for France in the Nations League match against Spain. He is capable of playing on either side of the field and can also replace the No. 10 position.

It is expected that he will be one of three new players to join City between now and tomorrow. Rayan Ait-Nouri’s transfer is expected to be finalized on Saturday, as the player had already finished his medical examination.

In what is expected to be the first transaction to be finalized, the left back will be joining from Wolves for a fee of 33 million pounds.

A second player, Tijjani Reijnders, will be joining the Blues. It was on Sunday that he traveled to Manchester for his medical examination in between matches for the Netherlands, and his arrival is scheduled to be finalized within the next twenty-four hours.

Although it is not necessary for City to complete all three deals before the Club World Cup, the club is aiming to do so in order to achieve their goal of putting a dismal season in the past.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the chairman of City, has expressed his desire to complete the majority of the club’s transfers before departure for the United States. This is done with the intention of providing Pep Guardiola with the greatest possible opportunity to incorporate the newly acquired players into the team.

During the second transfer window of the summer, which begins six days after the first one shuts and continues all the way until September 1, City will have the opportunity to complete the remaining details of their transfer transaction.
