Male After securing £62.5m, United has settled on their next four acquisitions. Matheus Cunha’s transfer Manchester United completed their inaugural acquisition of the summer on Thursday, following the announcement of Matheus Cunha’s transfer from Wolves.
Cunha has inked a five-year contract with Old Trafford, and the agreement has now been officially finalized. United has the option to extend his stay by an additional 12 months. Following the activation of his £62.5million release clause by United, Cunha has become the club’s inaugural acquisition of the off-season.
He was a prominent target, and director of football Jason Wilcox has characterized him as “one of the most productive and exciting forwards in England.” United’s offense will be enhanced by Cunha’s athleticism and goals, which satisfy a variety of criteria for head coach Ruben Amorim.
In 2024/25, he scored 17 goals in all competitions, with 15 of them coming in the Premier League. The acquisition of the former Atletico Madrid forward has bolstered United’s attacking pool; however, they are not content with this development. They have identified Bryan Mbeumo, a Brentford player, as their next target.
