Man United is expected to disclose a new deal in the near future, and Amorim has given his approval, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The second phase of the transfer window, which reopened on Monday, is avidly anticipated by Manchester United fans. The Red Devils have already approved an early agreement in the form of Matheus Cunha’s arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers. They activated his £62.5 million release clause and subsequently agreed to a contract until 2030,
with the option of an additional year. The club is currently in the process of finalizing the concluding details of a deal that will extend the tenure of a senior Red at Old Trafford until the conclusion of the 2025/2026 campaign. United is in the process of announcing a new agreement with Tom Heaton.
It is believed that Amorim is interested in maintaining the third-choice shot-stopper’s presence on the team due to his significant impact on the team. The up-and-coming prospects at Carrington have also benefited from his goalkeeping expertise, which is also the reason why Gareth Southgate selected Heaton for England’s 2024 Euros campaign.
Heaton’s performance in recent years The 39-year-old has only appeared in three matches since returning to his childhood club in 2021: twice in the League Cup and once in the Champions League. He has yet to participate in a game under Amorim since his appointment in November of last year.
Heaton’s most notable senior career period was with Burnley from 2013 to 2019, and he has also played for Cardiff City, Bristol City, and Aston Villa. He is a Three Lions international who has been capped three times and is a graduate of United’s academy. He entered the youth setup from Wrexham in 2022.
