Man United XI predicted against Brentford: Casemiro and Eriksen in midfield as injury problem increases.

As Erik ten Hag chooses his team for tomorrow’s home game against Brentford, he is dealing with another injury dilemma at Manchester Union. Many

stars have missed international service because of knocks or have suffered injuries while representing their country. Ten Hag would have been ready for several weeks’ absence for Noussair Mazraoui, who underwent a minor heart operation following palpitations during United’s last game against Aston Villa. The club said yesterday, however, that the player is already back in training and that given his match fitness, there appears no reason why he should not start the game tomorrow. Diogo Dalot should so keep on at left back in the ongoing absence of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Although Shaw had been expected back following the international break, as far as we know, he has not even returned to training yet as his odd absence persists. After missing more than a year, Malacia is already back in team training but he will not be hurried back into action. He might perhaps make the bench.

Should Mazraoui fail, Dalot most likely will revert to right back and Jonny Evans could cover at left back. Another fresh injury is Harry Maguire, who will be absent for a few weeks; Matthijs de Ligt is set to be reinstated at right center back. Following inadequate performances against Villa, he and Lisandro Martinez were dropped for Maguire and Evans. Ten Hag is probably also familiar with Martinez, hence he will also remember him. Evans and Victor Lindelof are the only other choices while Leny Yoro is still away.Andre Onana will be in the goal. For the manager in midfield, the issues abound. Kobbie Mainoo is out for a few weeks; although the club has not verified yet, it has been documented that Manuel Ugarte had a muscular injury playing for Uruguay. He will probably miss the game even if he is back in light training. With only two senior midfielders left available other than the inexperienced Toby Collyer, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro thus look certain to start the game.

Although both Alejandro Garnacho and Amad missed international duty because of knocks, they have returned to training and should be ready. Following a head injury against Spurs two weeks ago, Mason Mount is also back in training. With Garnacho on the right, Marcus Rashford is supposed to begin the game on the left wing. Amad’s great start to the season has faded, hence Antony was chosen as Garnacho’s replacement rather than Villa. He might even be selected before the Ivorian should Garnacho fail. On the right wing Mount is still another choice. Although he too, stated he is not quite healthy and straining to play more than 70 minutes, Bruno Fernandes will be in the number 10 role and Rasmus Hojlund will probably lead the line. Still another choice is Josh Zirkzee. Ten Hag should give an update on some of the questionable stars attending the press conference today. Keeping all that in mind, here is our expected XI for the 3pm kick-off tomorrow:
